What you should know before purchasing a Residential Service Contract

What is a Residential Service Contract?
Essentially, you are pre-paying a fixed amount of money for maintenance and/or service repair on your heating and air conditioning system.

What types of RSC's does County Heating offer?
Type "A" - Maintenance only agreement
Type "B" - Maintenance plus coverage on most parts and labor

What is covered by Type "A" agreement?
The Type "A" agreement includes two pre-season maintenance checks, priority service, and should repairs be required, a 10% discount on any service repairs.

What is covered by Type "B" agreement?
The Type "B" agreement includes the same maintenance checks and priority service as the Type "A" agreement plus a mid-winter inspection and parts and labor coverage on most service repairs.

What repairs are not covered by a Type "B" agreement?
The only items excluded from the Type "B" agreement are compressor, evaporator and condenser coils, and the heat exchangers cells.
Why should I purchase an RSC from County Heating?
  • Factory recommended maintenance will be performed. This reduces the breakdowns and extends product life

  • Due to government regulations and increasingly complex systems, the average service repair is now over $200.00. Even relatively minor repairs can be very expensive.

  • Our agreements provide you with more value for the dollar than our competitors.

  • County Heating was established in 1947 and is one of the oldest residential contractors in the metro area. Over 10,000 customers have trusted us to handle their service needs.
Will you cover any accessory items I have on my system?
Yes! You can add accessory coverage for humidifiers, electronic air cleaners, condensate pumps, and programmable thermostats to their base coverage for an additional charge.

For Maximum Results From Your Heating System

  • Select a comfortable thermostat setting and leave it set. Your heating system cannot maintain a comfortable balance if your thermostat set point is constantly being changed.

  • Avoid outside heat sources on thermostat from lamps, TV sets, radios, etc. These heat sources can cause undesirable operation of your heating system.
  • Do not block off supply or return air registers with furniture or drapes. Your furnace requires proper air circulation in order to operate satisfactorily

  • Filters should be kept clean and replaced when they get dirty. Neglected filters will cause unsatisfactory heating conditions.
For Maximum Results From Your Cooling System

  • To achieve the most in comfort from your air conditioner, control the temperature by a thermostat setting of your preference. During extended cool spells you may shut your cooling system off, however, shutting your unit off for a few hours each night does not give you best results.

  • Do not wait until the hottest part of the day to turn your air conditioner on.
  • If guests are expected, or a party is planned, it often helps to set your air conditioner 3° to 4° lower than normal about 6 to 8 hours ahead of time.

  • Don't restrict supply and return outlets by furniture, rugs or drapes.
